We’ve all seen the shiny black luxury cars waiting outside big office buildings, court houses and airports.  Most of us, including myself at one point, think or have thought that they are way too expensive for us to consider using.

How about renting a car?  The last time I was travelling, I rented a car.  By the time I selected the vehicle, reviewed insurance options, walked to the car and inspected it, I was exhausted.  The amount of time it took was overwhelming.  Then, I had to navigate in a city in which I was not familiar.  I’d been traveling all day, all I wanted was to get to my hotel.

How about a taxi? A taxi is the cheapest way to travel from point A to B.  Often the driver is chatty, the car not so clean and the driver may not be familiar with the address  you are going.  This may work for you and I, but how about our bosses, perspective clients or board members?  Wouldn’t it be nice if they could focus on work instead of giving directions?

How does having a well dressed chauffeur waiting for your boss or client at the airport sound?  Wouldn’t it be nice to be escorted to a clean comfortable car by a chauffeur who already knows your schedule and the best way to reach your destination?

Renting a car or taking a taxi are good choices, but when time and productivity are highly valued hiring a chauffeur service may not be so expensive in the grand scheme of things.  We may realize that the misconception of booking a car service as “too expensive” may just be that, a misconception.
