The 21st annual SXSW Interactive Festival returns to Austin from Friday, March 7 through Tuesday, March 11. There is a four day trade show at the Austin Convention Center from March 9th through March 12, 2014. The four-day show celebrates the organizations that define the ever-evolving relationship between media, technology, creators and consumers.

Austin will be overrun with attendees of the SXSW Festival. Last year’s attendance was approximately 30,000 people. Reports are hotel blocks have been sold out. Make arrangements ASAP.
Renting a car? Do you really need one? Some hotels have shuttles setup between hotels and venues. Traffic in Austin is greatly affected by road closures during SXSW. Click here for a PDF map of all affected streets and areas.
Specific SXSW disciplines (Music, Film, Interactive) also have events taking place outside the Convention Center but most will be easily accessible by foot, shuttle or bicycle. Wear comfortable shoes and plan on doing a lot of walking.
